Cosmic Moments of Timelessness

As the Earth orbits the sun, we have the opportunity to align ourselves to the celestial dance of the solstices, equinoxes, eclipses and moons. These interstellar events are called punkukuna (poon-koo-koo-na), meaning portals in Quechuan - cosmic moments of timelessness where the boundaries of linear time relax and become more malleable, and time itself merges into oneness - a powerful time for inward reflection where we can choose a new way of being and step into a new reality, bringing into balance those parts of ourselves that wish to be in more harmony.

Near the end of October, we enter another powerful punku that offers us deeper communion with the Spirit World and most prominently, with Ancestors - all the people in your lineage that have walked before you. Consider taking a moment this month to create an altar for your Ancestors and light a candle for them - honor their hardships, honor their experiences, honor their wisdom. And honor yourself and your journey thus far - for you are an Ancestor of the future!

The work we do for our lineage is our gift of giving back. If you feel the burden of your Ancestors, some of their stories or entanglements (unhealed traumas) may be playing out in your life - unconscious patterns, suffering and limitations that have been passed down through the family line.

When you free yourself of these burdens, you free your Ancestors, too. And you free those who will walk after you. You enter into a new reality where you can receive the gifts of your Ancestors and be blessed and assisted by your lineage, AND you bring peace to your inner world.

So this month especially, I invite you to hold your Ancestors close to your heart - You are your Ancestors wildest dreams and they are rooting for you!
